Role: SEN teaching assistant-Location: Chichester -Salary Band: £11,920-£14,500

An SEN setting is looking for a teaching assistant to work with learners aged between KS1 through to KS4 who have a range of Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD) starting September term 2017.
The specialised school is based in the Chichester area and under a 30 minute walk from the Chichester train station.

This teaching assistant role is vital to the school as well as the children's on-going learning development.

In this role as a teaching assistant you will be:

> Enabling learners to access the curriculum.
> Support the pastoral needs of the learners.
> Be an active part in setting the learning environment.
> Supporting learners on a 1:1 base and part of a small group.
> Supporting learners in a range of activities.
> Using your interests to engage learners in learning.

The ideal candidate may posses the following skills and capabilities:

> Be able to work with learners that have various learning difficulties.
> Have an understanding of the students with emotional needs.
> Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
> Be confident to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects.
> The ability to work as an individual and as a part of the team.
> Be flexible in their approach to education.

The School:
- SEN Setting located in Chichester, educating learners from KS3 to KS4 who have SEBD or EBD.
- Part of a network of settings across West Sussex who are always looking for strong candidates who can work across their other sites for both long term and short term contracts.
- Strong leadership team in place with many years experience between them supporting learners with SEBD.
