Teaching Assistant

Randstad Education working for local teachers to serve local Schools.

DO you have trade skills in building, Brickwork or Plastering and are looking for a change in career using those Skills. Would you rise to the challenge of working with young people with challenging Behaviour in Secondary Education - We now urgently require the right person for Immediate Start.

We have an urgent need for right people to work in Fleetwood and the surrounding areas. This position is a full time Temporary post:

This is an excellent opportunity:

To teach trade skills to groups of students from all abilities across years KS3 and 4:



* To ensure that all lessons are planned with clear aims and objectives, leading to pupils moving into vocational programs.
* To ensure that all lessons are delivered in line with the existing schemes of work.
* To take into account the differing ability lessons of students and differentiate the program accordingly.
* To encourage all students to be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing their progress against targets.
* To ensure that all students are known by name and that the classroom atmosphere is positive at all times.
* To encourage and foster intellectual curiosity.
* To deal with inappropriate behaviour quickly and effectively according to the school behaviour policy.
* To set appropriate tasks and challenges for homework according to the published timetable, and ensure that it is regularly marked with constructive feedback.
* To keep careful records of student progress in line with departmental and school policy.

In order to be considered for this post, you will need to:



* Hold a recognised trade qualification
* Be able to rise to the challenge set by the School
* Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour and always strive to get the best out of your students
* Be well organised and be able to plan effectively Be adaptable to cope with any situation
The post itself is subject to an enhanced DBS Certificate as well as satisfactory references.
