SEN Teaching Assistant Ely

We are currently looking for a Special Educational Needs teaching assistant to work within Ely for a number of Schools for an immediate start.

The roles will see you supporting young people aged 5-16 years old who have hearing impairment, ASD, challenging behaviours and a wide range of learning difficulties. This role would by on a day to day supply or long term basis.

You will be a caring and ambitious teaching assistant with your sights set on a career in SEND. You will have a genuine interest in SEND and will have experience working with young people with various learning difficulties.

In this role as a Teaching support assistant you will be:-
> Dedicated to helping students progress to their full potential
> Working with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
> Working as a team to support the needs of the students and the school.
> Supporting learning in literacy and numeracy.
> Using your skills, interests and personality to engage and work with learners.

The ideal candidate may posses the following skills and capabilities:-
> Experience of working with young people.
> Be able to work with learners that have a range of personalities.
> Have an understanding of the learning difficulties and associated conditions.
> Be confident to support groups of students in an alternative educational provision.
> The ability to work as an individual and under pressure.
> Competent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
