SEN Learning Mentor: Bury

I am seeking an exceptional Learning Mentor (TA) to support the teachers and students at an excellent secondary school in the Bury area. This special education school offers a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum, focusing on moral and social development. A specialist division offers support to students with ASD also.

Experience working with children with complex needs is required and a Team Teach qualification is highly desirable. I am looking for someone to support the students both academically and in the plethora of extra curricular activities offered.

Role and Responsibilities

* Providing support to small classes of pupils aged 11-19, and 1:1 support where required
* Work closely with the teacher and wider leadership team to aid in planning and delivering engaging lessons
* Support pupils in various lunch time and extra curricular activities
* Contribute to a supportive and constructive learning environment, that is both consistent and specific to each pupil
* Assisting with personal care of pupils
* Potential to be trained in hydrotherapy
