SEN Head Teacher

Are you either an experienced Head teacher or a Deputy Head looking for the next step up? Do you have experience of working in a Special School? Would you like to join a start up School and be influential in its development? If so then please keep reading for an exciting opportunity in the Chelmsford area:

Our clients are looking for somebody who can join them at the start of their exciting project. They have just opened a new special school and are looking for an experienced individual to provide inspirational leadership for both staff and students.

The School caters for students aged 10-16 years old who are unable to achieve in mainstream settings. This includes children with Autism, Social Emotional and mental health difficulties and those with severe learning difficulties. They offer bespoke and individual therapeutic packages of education for these students.

The successful candidate should have:

- Experience working with Autism and SEMH
- Previous experience as either a head of Deputy Head, ideally in a Special School
- Full QTS
- A good understanding of Ofsted

The school has extensive grounds hence they use the outdoors as an integral part of their curriculum to provide learning and enrichment activities. Therefore experience in outdoor activities or Forest Schools would be an advantage.

This is a great opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about SEN and making a difference to students lives. This is a temp to perm position with an immediate start available.
