Permanent : project manager : Dunstable, Bedfordshire : Award Winning Main Contractor

Are you looking for a new role as a project manager? We are currently working with an award-winning, Tier 1 Main Contractor to find an experienced and knowledgeable project manager to join their construction team working on an exciting £15m new-build, healthcare project, in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Their diverse portfolio of projects also includes leisure, retail and education. This project is an exciting opportunity for the ideal candidate to join a live site and lead a team of qualified professionals.

As the Construction project manager, you will be responsible for a well resourced team and report to a contracts manager. Your role will consist of but not be limited to:



* Direction, coordination, implementation, control and completion of the project.
* Produce a project programme using Asta Power Projects.
* Manage and maintain the project budgetary requirements.
* Resolve technical problems with the aid of a design manager ensuring works are completed to the correct specification and QA standards.
* Effectively lead and manage the project team.
* You will be a point of contact for the client & their representatives, Engineers, Architects & designers.
* Chairing project review meetings with the client and contractors.
* Ensuring sufficient resources are in place.
* Providing regular progress updates to Directors.

About you:



* Relevant qualifications and previous experience as a project manager in a similar role is desirable.
* NEC contract and/or P21 experience is desirable.
* Full understanding of current Health & Safety Legislation.
* Sound judgement and problem solving skills.
* Commercial and contractual awareness.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Good organisational skills along with good time management skills.
