Geography Teacher - Wigan, Greater Manchester job description

16 april 2018

Geography Teacher

This large Secondary School near Wigan is looking to appoint a qualified Geography teacher for a position for an ASAP start.

The successful candidate will be a creative and dedicated Geography teacher who is able to plan, prepare and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons that keep Key Stage 3 - 4 pupils focused on class work. The school is very supportive and is ideally looking for a teacher who can commit themselves to the school for at least 4 months initially.

Pupils in this school are well behaved, although there are some challenging children who need a firm but fair approach which is why a good level of behaviour management is a plus. Behaviour in general has improved across the school since the school received 'GOOD' in their OFSTED report.

The Humanities Department is a mixture of highly experienced and newly qualified teachers, both bringing essential skills to the excellent faculty. The Department work very closely together especially when planning lessons and creating or finding resources to help raise attainment across all Key Stages.

If you feel you have the relevant skills and experience for this role then please call Mark on 01942 363601 or send your CV to Mark.Ellison@randstadeducation.co.uk
