Business Studies Teacher - Brentwood, Essex job description

21 december 2017

Business Studies Teacher

Are you a competitive, dynamic Business Studies teacher who would like to work in high-achieving school, where the headteacher and other leaders have a clear vision for students? Would you like the opportunity to excel academically, and contribute to the local community at the same time? If this role sounds interesting, please read on!

Randstad Education is a market leader in the recruitment of temporary and permanent Education staff. Here at the Chelmsford branch we find work for teachers and school support staff across the county of Essex. Currently we are working closely with a large secondary school in the Southend area, to find a Business Studies teacher who can work 5 days a week, from January 2018 until the end of the academic year in July.

The position is part-time, but every day. The school operates a two week timetable and the role requires some full days, some mornings, and some afternoons across the two weeks. It will involve lessons across key stages 3 4 and 5. The successful candidate will need:

*thorough subject knowledge and the ability to stretch pupils academically. The level of progress at this school is very high which drives excellent exam results, so it is important all pupils are consistently challenged
*strong classroom control to enable all pupils to learn at a rate which matches their desire for knowledge and experience. The pupils have a mature attitude and contribute well in lessons but they must still be guided to maximise positive achievement
*have a rounded approach to developing a rapport with learners, which in turn will help them prepare for adult life
*the ability to prepare and deliver lessons which are consistently considered at least good and often outstanding, as this is monitored regularly by school leaders and governors
*a positive attitude which matches that of colleagues, parents, students and governors

The school can offer exceptional leadership, which has driven up students' progress to very high levels. The school promotes an ethos of excellence in both academic achievement and a wide range of activities across all aspects of school life. It contributes very successfully to exhibitions, competitions and challenges both in school and in society in general. The curriculum is very broad and most students gain places at leading universities following their academic successes.

If this sounds like the position for you to be able to progress your career, please feel free to contact us here at Randstad Education Chelmsford, where our friendly and knowledgeable consultants will be more than happy to help.
