Assistant Store Manager

Are you an innovative and inspiring assistant Store manager who is looking to join a fantastic business in growth with exciting times ahead? As a result of our expansion and continued success we are now looking for a highly self-motivated assistant Store manager to lead by example and inspire our retail colleagues to maximise sales and deliver excellent customer service for our store in Peckham

My client is one of the UK's fastest growing retailers specialising in clothing, home ware and destination shopping for tourists. Operating nearly 1000 stores nationally with over 70 year's business experience, they are at the absolute forefront of their sector and are supporting their recent success with continued growth.


As an assistant Store manager we are looking for a Retail manager with experience in men and women clothing who is down to business in their approach to succeed and can work using their own initiative. Clothing retail experience is desirable however not essential as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have previous experience either in management or supervision of personnel within a retail outlet.

Role: You will be responsible for the day to day management of the store Deputise for the manager when necessary Lead from the front, hands on management style and will be managing a small team of staff. You will be committed to motivating your team to deliver a great customer experience as well as achieving challenging sales targets and maximising profits.


Skills & Experience:
Proven experience of leading and managing a team within a Retail environment
Proven sales experience and being able to demonstrate that you have achieved sales targets
Practical experience/ knowledge of some or all of their product range
Confident, enthusiastic and driven as well as being a team player
Committed to developing your team and strive to develop both yourself and the team
You will have the desire to succeed both as an individual and as a leader of your team
