Experienced CDM Coordinator

THIS VACANCY IS AN IMMEDIATE NEED - CLOSING FRIDAY THE 16TH JULY 2010

Due to the continued success of our client in supplying Health and Safety Consultancy to national Blue Chip clients, they are looking to recruit an experienced CDM Coordinator to be based in our primarily in their Canary Wharf office, London.

The position will be to provide CDM-C service advising and overseeing the statutory duties of the CDM-C as defined by CDM 2007, on a range of fast track projects throughout the South East. The candidate must be able to demonstrate their experience and competence in several of the following sectors:

• Sports/ Leisure facilities
• Refurbishments, extensions and new build
• New Mixed Use Developments
• Commercial
• Public Sector

To be considered for this role you must match the following criteria:

• A minimum of 5 years practical experience providing client side CDM Coordinator Services within the construction industry
• Construction background and hold a relevant technical or professional qualification
• Have a thorough working knowledge of CDM 2007 regulations and associated legislation
• A track record of work winning in preparing CDM Bid documentation and fee proposals
• Experience of undertaking Fire Risk Assessments
• Understanding of the design process and how to design out hazards and risks
• Membership of the APS - having full CDM-C membership
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate
graduate or Technical IOSH Membership, Highly Desirable CMIOSH
• Excellent communication, management and team working skills
• Ability to be directly customer facing and have a balanced customer focus
• Have an ability to be flexible in balancing health and safety risks with cost and programme whilst maintaining legal compliance
